KIP 3508 SMOOTH-TEC® is a thin and elastic professional masking tape designed to achieve clean paint edges. Thanks to the high-quality acrylic adhesive, the tape combines strong adhesion, good tear resistance and clean removal. Unlike conventional crepe tapes, the smooth carrier material helps reduce the spilling of the paint under the tape.

1. Preparation of the Substrate
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust and greast. For sensitive surfaces, a prior test sample is recommended.
2. Tape usage
Set the tape against the desired place and press it evenly against the substrate. Particular attention should be paid to the edges of the tape to ensure a clean paint separation.
3. Painting
Apply the paint to the surface according to manufacturer instructions. The thin and smooth backing material helps prevent the paint from getting under the tape and allows for achieving sharp paint edges.
4. Tape removal
Slowly remove the tape at an angle of about 45° after painting or during the recommended usage period. When used correctly, the tape will remove cleanly without any glue residue.
5. Storage
Store in a dry and cool place in the original packaging, protected from direct sunlight.
