Marble-lime plaster, rough
Marble-lime plaster rough (1.4 mm) is a natural mineral finishing plaster that creates a matte, slightly textured, and vibrant surface finish. Thanks to its coarser grain, it is well-suited for both contemporary interiors and the restoration of historic buildings. Due to its high alkalinity, the plaster naturally inhibits mold growth and is also ideal for bathrooms and other damp areas.

Marble-lime plaster rough is a natural lime-based finishing plaster with a grain size of up to 1.4 mm. The material allows you to create durable and breathable decorative surfaces and helps smooth out minor irregularities in the substrate. Tinted surfaces retain a characteristically mottled and lively appearance, highlighting the natural beauty of lime plasters.

1. Preparation of the substrate
The surface must be clean, dry, sound and uniformly absorbent. Remove dust, grease, loose layers and other substances that reduce adhesion. If necessary, repair any damage and prime the surface.
2. Preparing the mixture
Mix 1 kg of plaster powder with approximately 0.23–0.26 liters of cold water. Let the mixture stand for about 15 minutes, then stir it again. When tinting, first mix the pigments into a paste, then add it to the mixture.
3. Application
Apply the material to the surface using a trowel or putty knife. The plaster can be applied in one or two layers, depending on the desired final result. The maximum layer thickness is 8 mm.
4. Creating texture
Once the surface is touch-dry but still workable, finish it with a sponge float, a Venetian trowel, or a plastic smoother. This will achieve the desired texture and a uniform finish.
5. Soaping and Drying
To achieve a more durable surface, treat the plaster surface with diluted soap solution no later than 24 hours after installation. Apply the soap solution to the surface in a thin layer, working from the bottom up. Per each 1 mm of layer thickness wait at least 24 hours if you wish to reapply the soap.
6. Maintenance and recommendations
Clean with a soft brush or cloth. Avoid acidic cleaning agents. On tinted surfaces, soaping may deepen the color or cause a characteristic chalky haze; therefore, it is recommended to test the product on a small area first.
