Rasosasso Intonaco
Rasosasso Intonaco is a specially formulated lime- and pozzolan-based plaster mortar designed for the restoration and integration of historic plasters. The material provides a breathable, durable, and authentic finish for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Composition

Fortis Rasosasso Intonaco is a specially formulated mineral plaster mortar based on air lime and natural pozzolans. Thanks to this binder system, the material provides excellent adhesion, elasticity, and breathability, allowing structures to dry naturally while preserving the authenticity of historic surfaces.

Layer thickness and consumption
- Bonding coat: 3โ5 mm
- Subsequent coats: up to 10mm per layer
- Consumption: approx. 15โ18 kg/mยฒ (per 10mm layer)

- Clean, stable and dust-free
- Free from loose materials, salts, grease and mold
- Suitable for stone, brick, tuff and mixed masonry
- Moistened before application
Tools
- Trovel (application by hand)
- Plastering machine
- Sponge or brush (for surface finish)
- Substrate preparation
- Clean the surface and remove all substances that could impair adhesion
- Repair joints and fill any voids
- Moisten the substrate before starting work
- Mix preparation
- Mix 25 kg of the dry mix to ~4,5โ5 l of water
- Mix into a uniform mass
- Let the mixture rest for 10โ15 minutes
- Application
- First apply the bonding coat with a thickness of 3โ5 mm
- After it has dried, apply subsequent coats (max 10 mm/layer)
- In case of greater thickness, apply in multiple coats
- Moisten the substrate between coats
- Finishing
- Level the surface with a straightedge
- If desired, wash the surface with a sponge or brush to bring out the aggregates (washed effect)
- Working conditions
- Temperature: +5 ยฐC up to +35 ยฐC
- Protect against direct sunlight and rapid drying
