Linseed oil glaze
Kreidezeit Wood Lazure is a natural, diffusible wood treatment based on plant oils and resins, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It protects wood from moisture and dirt while highlighting its natural grain and wears evenly over time without cracking or peeling.
- Binder: linseed oil, tung oil and stand oils
- Tools: brush or pad (no roller or sprayer)
- Layers: at least 2 layers (more if necessary)
- Substrates: untreated wood indoors and outdoors

Kreidezeit Wood Lazure is a natural oil-based wood treatment that does not form a film on the surface but penetrates the wood, preserving its diffusibility and natural behaviour. Thanks to its elastic composition, it does not crack or peel but wears evenly over time, making maintenance easy and extending the lifespan of wooden surfaces.

- Substrate preparation
- Remove old synthetic coatings and dirt
- Sand the wood (P80–100), rounding the edges
- Clean dust
- If necessary, treat end grain with primer oil
- Paint preparation
- Mix thoroughly before use
- If necessary, tint with pigments (especially for outdoor UV protection)
- Do not pour directly on the surface
- Application
- Apply to surface in thin layers using a brush or pad
- At least 2 layers, allow to dry between layers
- Indoors excess oil can be wiped off after 10–20 min
- Outdoors ensure adequate saturation and uniform surface
- Drying and conditions
- Working temperature at least +10 °C
- Overcoatable after ~24 h (tannin-rich wood ~48 h)
- Full hardening ~4 weeks
- Maintenance and renewal
- If necessary clean with water or soap
- Renew the surface according to wear (within 2–7 years depending on the weather)
- Maintained surfaces last significantly longer
Note:
Outdoors it is recommended to use a pigmented variant for UV protection, otherwise the wood may turn gray.
